uncle johnny visit!

hello.

back to some mild teething. elle is drooling buckets and the everyone is a bit cranky. uncle johmmy came for a visit last week from Ilinois. here are a few shots from the week.

trying to keep up on some new pictures. I will post a few more here for everyone. all is well here at the summer starts to wind down. elle has a full set of teeth, seb is moving anything he can to provide a "step up" to see what lurks on top of the dining room table & dylan is starting to get a bit taller and falling in love with couch-walking. we hope to get a camping trip in before the rain sets in. in order to keep this in somewhat of a chronological order > these are from @ a month ago with our visit to the coast with our good friend jonathan. welcome back to portland j ;)

well..I have not been slacking > really. I had some problems posting some shotes from the coast, but this seems to be working fine now. this is a fine little video from the 50 yard run in the bushes behind the house. hope you enjoy. if all works out well, we will have some more shots and video before the night is over.

eleanor > aka. gummers, chubbers, growls, growly bear

eleanor.
she had the penthouse in the womb and was the last one out. she is unmistakable the zen force that keeps the ying and yang of seb and bird in tact; in a mental and physical sense. she was the first to climb the play ladder in the living room and the first to realize the gravity wins when she pushes one of the boys and knocks them off-kilter. she is our socialite. her first word was "hi" and she will ham it up for any camera lens in any situation. she is our growly bear and model for all hats in the house. elle rules the roost with a subtle hand.

second one out. he was our little bombardier who opened his eyes first and then kept them shut for a week. he of the "tiny hinny." the first one to walk and as of late, the first one to take a very keen and disturbing interest in realizing that inserting a finger into his mouth and touching the back of his throat will bring up tasty treats eaten only hours ago (not to worry. we checked with our doc and it is only a "common behavior" that we must tell him is "gross" and then try to ignore. one eye brown. the other blue. he is the birdman.

tough love

okay. we have had quite a bit of fluff on the site so far. thought I would share some harsh realities. we have been good little P's up until tonight. rocking the babies to sleep every night. singing lullabys and making sure those adorable little lashes click shut for the night sleep. we finally found out through our doc that we can stop getting up 314 times throughout the night and feeding the boys their few bottles, as well as rocking everyone back to sleep whenever they wake up fussing. this practice had allowed us five-hour interrupted sleep nights and mornings that require French press thick coffee and plenty of cold water on the face. tonight is the first night (forgive me...but this might actually start resembling the true characteristics of a rambling blog (!) and it is, well...pure hell. all of the herd are amped and giving us their best operatic capabilities. dylan screeched hard first and gave up. seb and elle are in it for the gold. the plaster on the ceiling is falling off in chunks as I type and we might have to work on a new set of vocal chords for the two of them this weekend. for all of the sick and twisted...I shall post an MP3 of the communal wailing this weekend. until then > here are a few tranquil shots. liz and i shall now wait with heads bowed by the front door for Child Services to cart us away...

sebastian > aka. mo, sebmo, monkey, bubble toes

first one out should be featured first, right? sebastian, our fearless leader. the first one out into the world of all three. seb has morphed into our "sensitive seb." he was the first to give hugs and a sloppy kiss; yet, also the first to take a toy, hold it up and ponder what it might sound like upside the head of his fellow siblings. his our voracious eater. canalope (almost any fruit really), dill havarti cheese, falafel, ham, cracker...you name it and he puts it down. he has started a screeching trend among him and dylan and they are adamant to break our lead windows with high-decibel shreaks! he is a dancer, a mover, the one to yelp "DAT!" as he points to all around him in curiosity. he also has a darn good vibrato for a fourteen month old.

he is, quite simply > the MO MO MONKEY....

hello all.

picked up a pool just in time for the forth! a few quick videos. the water was a bit chilly. ended up with some blue lips and chattering teeth and gums :) more to come soon. that Sebmo profile should be just around the corner.

one step at a time...

well > it all happened at once, sort of. dylan popped up first and rattled off several steps. he is now stomping around like a drunken gymnast and can conquer the whole room in a few seconds. seb was next. a few steps here, some there. he is more than happy to crawl though and can take or leave this walking thing for now. elle is most excited about this new feat. she stomps around with a big grin. I have added some video and some new shots here.

waving the planes in

so...we have a flight pattern that opens up over our house at about 5:00 every day. the gang is fascinated by the low-flying airplanes. as you can see...they like helping the pilots find the runway. click on the link below and click the smaller screen viewing for better quality. stay tuned > this weekend marks the start the BIO series. The Herd Hits The Beach

excitement builds throughout the day > all-day time with Poppy can only suffice for so long. caught this nice shot of Liz being brave enough to lower herself into the Herd Cage yesterday. eruptions of laughter and giggles followed. I am working on getting some video and audio clips on here. stay tuned....

well...it seemed a bit inevitable, didn't it? all this technology, all these babies. this seems like nice simple way to keep all friends and family in the loop. not quite sure how this will evolve, but keep on checking back on the site and we will try and keep you entertained.
